
Opened in 2008 Shanghai Asian Cuisine at 14A Elizabeth Street is calling it quits to Chinatown after 15 years. Long a favorite among locals with moderately priced Shanghainese items featuring juicy soup and pan-fried dumplings they packing to new digs in the East Village.
The commercial arcade where the restaurant is located has seen several higher end eateries recently most notably;;
Japanese Omakase NAKAJI which features a $295 omakase sushi/sashimi set
KONO which features a $175 chicken omakase set
