Demolition of the 125 White Street MDC tower begins. A week ago, demolition contractors brought in a crane and erected it in place in preparation for internal and floor by floor demolition of the MDC tower. Contractors had spent the past couple months enshrouding the structure in scaffolding.

A Bobcat mini-dozer was hoisted up to the roof of the tower on Tuesday in preparation of the floor-by-floor demolition of the tower, meanwhile the lower building housing the gymnasium and businesses along Baxter Street has already been leveled to the foundation.
The mayor’s office has confirmed the full demolition of the 125 White Street complex at a community town hall earlier this year.
