Contractors scurried around Chinatown to secure decorative lanterns. Decorative lanterns were installed just before the Chinese New Year along Chinatown Streets, but recent storms and high winds caused one to snap from its mounting cable and crash onto the roof of a car parked on Eldridge Street.
